American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL)
When the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers (AAAL) started with MSP 14 years ago, they were a volunteer-run association with little time to focus on strategic outcomes. They wanted to move from being self-managed by member law firm staff to more professional and consistent management. In that time, we have helped AAAL develop their first Strategic Plan, developed and streamlined processes and created a high-touch program and organization.
American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA)
Over the past eleven years, MSP has delivered association management services to ACMA that have resulted in more robust staffing and management, the establishment of a membership and referral database system, and more than triple the attendance at meetings. Best of all, expenses have come in under budget in each of those eleven years!
Association of Language Companies (ALC)
Heavily volunteer managed, ALC was looking to move to an association management firm that could take them to the next level. The Association of Language Companies (ALC) is a national trade association representing businesses that provide translation, interpretation, localization and language training services. Since MSP has managed ALC, we have streamlined processes, branded the organization, helped volunteers use their time more effectively and leadership plan more strategically.
American Society of Consulting Arborists (ASCA)
When ASCA approached MSP for association management services, membership was declining and they had no financial reserves. Through our strategic planning process, we created a new membership structure, the development of a registration program, the highest credential in the field, and a branding and marketing plan and campaign. We have tripled their membership and conference attendance and significantly bolstered their financial reserves.
Association of Water Technologies (AWT)
In almost five years, MSP's association management services have helped AWT create a new brand, increase membership and boost meeting attendance and bookstore revenue. AWT came to MSP with a $110K loss and reserves of just $75,000. Today, AWT has reserves of over $500,000 and has seen a financial surplus of over $100,000 each year for the last four years. In addition to strong financial planning and leadership, MSP has worked with AWT to develop new membership benefits and programs, such as online training and webinars.
International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA)
The International Federation of Technical Analysts is a non-profit federation of over 30 individual country market analysis societies and associations. One of the primary goals IFTA had in hiring an Association Management Company (AMC), was to take their popular certification program online. We have been with IFTA under two years and have turned this paper exam into an online exam that candidates can take on a daily basis. Besides day-to-day management, we also manage their international conferences.
Landscape Contractors Association (LCA) MD • DC • VA
LCA was MSP's first client in 1993 and is still trusting us to provide association management services today. In our time with LCA, we have created a new brand, designed their website, administered a certification program, planned meetings, and managed association programs to increase membership and conference attendance and significantly improve their image and stature in the marketplace.
National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Metro DC
MSP has taken NARI's meetings and events to a new level of quality and professionalism, allowing the active volunteers to spend more of their energy on setting strategic direction and positioning the organization for growth. Despite a dramatic downturn in the construction industry, we have been able to hold sponsorship revenue steady and continue to draw in new members.
Overall
Each year MSP manages about 40 meetings, administers four major certification programs, and produces over 200 publications in addition to all the other association management services we perform for our association and nonprofit clients.

What our clients are saying
[MSP’s] contract is up for annual renewal on a bid basis, and they have been selected for 3 years running. Our Board (and our current President) has indicated no willingness to change from using their services... . There are four persons from their staff that work with our firm — and the Board sees that depth of backup/manpower as critical to our relationship with them and their responsibilities to us.more
